Vintage Handmade Luggage Set From Indonesia At Proyek Rehabilitasi Bethesda. Gently used, great condition. Some areas of fading are noted on white Leather, 2 of small feet missing from bottom of large bag and wear evident on bottom in corners. Please review photos carefully. Small bag measures 10.5" long, 6.75" tall and 3.75" deep. Large bag measures 15" long, 10" tall and 5" deep. Has 2 zippers. The strap drop is 21".
Proyek Rehabilitasi Bethesda was started 11/16/1982 and became Proyek Rehabilitasi Yakkum in 1991. These bags were produced between 1982 and 1991. Producers were clients receiving services at center, physically disabled young adults. The Leather used is either sheep or goat skin tanned in Yogyakarta. The white leather is silkscreened with traditional Indonesian batik designs.
