Excellent used condition, I choose “good” condition because I do not have the original bag or box. Shipping with a plain gauze bag. Very interesting piece!

Adapted from a Woman's Headdress, early-to-mid-20th century.
The "Star of Bethlehem," interpreted here as an ornament, is based on a silver chin pendant, the central element in a headdress consisting of network of circular link-chains interspersed with pendants & coins. This type of elaborate headdress, worn by the Christian women of Bethlehem, covered the head, falling to just below the chin. The headdress, worn by a bride for the first time at her wedding, was part of her dowry, which traditionally included festive dresses as well as everyday clothing. Later, the headdress was worn on holidays & special occasions.
The Museum's ornament is cast in pewter, plated with gold & silver. Handle with care to avoid scratching. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth only.
