SLX RD-M786 derailleur provides more space around the rear dropout by sitting further back than previous designs. This means it is less exposed to impacts along the trail, while also maintaining a stiffer interface between the derailleur and frame. All this means better performance and allows for faster wheel changes, particularly on bikes using thru-axle systems.
Another feature on the SLX Shadow Plus rear derailleur is the new clutch system. This technology debuted on the XTR Shadow Plus rear derailleur and if you’ve been experiencing dropped chain on your full-suspension rig, this feature is going to solve those issues.
The RD-M675 is available with two cage lengths; Long (SGS) and Mid (GS).
