From my personal collection, a charming handmade cloth Edith Flack Ackley Doll.
16" tall, long slender arms & legs, beautiful yarn braids, embroidered facial features, original hand stitched socks and shoes
Made in 1940s? 1950s? from a pattern designed by Edith Flack Ackley.
Edith made dolls herself but unmarked.
She then offered in 1934 a doll making kit in " Women's Home Companion Magazine". Later complete instructions for dolls were in her 1938 book "Dolls to Make for Fun and Profit"
The dress & apron seem newer. They were on my doll when I purchased her many years ago. Her lace trimmed undergarments, the full slip & pantaloons look original. Body is firmly stuffed.
