This is a Mexican dress for a little girl. If I remember correctly, it's called a chanelito.
It is made of linen and is COMPLETELY hand stitched and embroidered. It is a size 8 in little girls. The last photo shows the inside of the garment where you can see the sewing stitching is done by hand.
**there are so many fake ones for sale online that I couldn't even find another authentic hand embroidered, hand sewn, hand crochet on sleeves & neck. They advertise as authentic but dont show the inside of garment to show the sewing stitches.
I bought this in Mexico puebla several years ago from a lady who still does ALL of the sewing herself, and it is a practice that goes back in her family hundreds of years. It has a sash that ties in back to adjust to exact waist size.
It is in Excellent condition with No flaws. Beautiful brightly colored flowers and people.
