This vintage 1940's lamp is a beautiful addition to any collection. Hand-painted Imari design in meticulous detail, and in multi-hues of orange, rust and peach. Contrasts beautifully with the delicate muted burgundy of the fabric lamp. The vase depicts cherry blossoms, flowers, birds and geometric patterns. It is all-over highlighted with metallic gold. Incredible working condition with almost no wear considering its age. Several minor chips to the rim of the glass shade (noticeable by feel, not easily seen. please see last picture). Cord is still in great condition as shown. Four plated brass scrolls adorn the bottom of the vase and it is topped with ornate art nouveau style leaves.
